Workshop for Children with Different Needs

Walk down interesting and imaginative pathways with us! In this movement workshop inspired by Shel Silverstein’s timeless collection of poems and drawings, “Where the Sidewalk Ends”, children will stimulate their imagination and develop creativity through movement. This session will promote learning and cognitive development through physical movement.

Jurong West Secondary School: Arts Conversation

RAW Moves Artistic Director Ricky Sim was invited to speak at Jurong West Secondary School Arts Conversation 3 @ The Book Room. Excerpts from RAW Moves’ company dancers Matthew Goh’s and Stephanie Yoong’s Tapping out and Fragments were shown respectively, and students were encouraged to ask questions relating to the works and to the arts industry as a whole.

Sharing a Green Dot

Inspired by Guerrilla gardening, whereby the act of spontaneous planting in spaces that is usually perceived to be abandoned, or not part of a measured environment, challenges the perimeters of someone else’s land, thus the segregation in society.

​Our young performers from A LITTLE RAW Company draw their act on this movement through the expression of Creative Movement. Hoping to bring people together with an appreciation of life with a shared social purpose.

PAssion Arts Festival

25 Parent-Child participants from 3 PCF centres were invited to participate in a one-day workshop to discover the joys of bonding through craft making, dance exploration and composition to create their own “Star Dance”, which was performed as part of BOUND (excerpts) at “Arts of Wonder 2” – PAssionArts Festival 2018, Nanyang CACC, 28 July 2018. Guest-of-Honour Mr Yeo Chia Hsing, Grassroots Advisor to Nanyang GROS, MP for Choa Chu Kang GRC was invited to grace the occasion.

Got To Move: pARTicipate

RAW Moves in collaboration with TheCameraBank presented pARTicipate as part of Got To Move 2016, a nationwide movement organised by National Arts Council, to celebrate dance and to get everyone in Singapore moving.

pARTicipate is a community initiative, which aims to assemble the neighbourhood to take part in simple expressive games suitable for families and members of the society.

Singapore Garden Festival

Held in Gardens by the Bay on 31 July 2016, A Little RAW debuted their first public performance with 1 2 3, 3 2 1 Lets go! choreographed by Wong Wai Yee.

BOUND was also restaged with a twist of interactive element, of which we challenged the audience to an old school game ‘Zero Point’!

The Body Speaks Series: Dance Movement Psychotherapy

This 2-day dance movement psychotherapy will offer an opportunity to connect to the somatic experience of our bodies through movement. By listening to and enabling our bodies to speak, we discover our inner stories and the emotions that accompany them. This is an experiential workshop using movement and the creative arts.
