Volunteers

RAW Moves is looking for friendly, reliable and enthusiastic volunteers to support our upcoming performances, workshops and community events.

1. Front-of-house (FOH) Volunteer

As a FOH Volunteer, your roles will include:

  • Welcome audience members and support general enquiries (e.g. venue, performance and company activities).
  • Check tickets, usher and assist with audience flow before and after performances.
  • Distribute and promote programmes and event materials.
  • Support membership, donor and patron engagement activities, where applicable.
  • Assist with engagement initiatives and feedback collection during and after performances and events.


Who we are looking for:

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Enthusiastic and comfortable engaging with people from diverse backgrounds.
  • Interest in the arts, audience engagement and community participation.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Previous experience in a similar role is helpful but not essential.


Commitment Level

Available on performance and event days, typically 4–6 hours per shift.


2. Backstage Crew

As a Backstage Crew*, your roles will include:

  • Assist with and maintain rehearsal and performance logistics, including equipment, props and costumes.
  • Assist production staff with setup, operation and strike of productions.
  • Observe safety protocols and maintain an organised work environment.

*Roles and responsibilities may vary depending on production needs and the volunteer’s technical experience.


Who we are looking for:

  • Interest in performing arts, technical theatre or live event production.
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Comfortable working backstage and lifting or moving equipment when required.
  • Previous backstage or production experience is helpful but not essential.


Commitment Level

Project-based, with opportunities throughout rehearsal and performance periods. Availability for evenings and weekends may be required depending on production schedules.


3. Community Outreach Volunteer

As a Community Outreach Volunteer, your roles will include:

  • Assist with the setup, delivery and teardown of workshops, outreach programmes and community events.
  • Engage enthusiastically with community members and provide general participant support.
  • Assist in maintaining a safe, inclusive and welcoming environment for all participants.
  • Provide general administrative and operational support as required, including managing registrations and participating in workshops.


Who we are looking for:

  • Interest in dance education, community arts and public engagement.
  • Friendly, approachable and culturally sensitive.
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Organised and capable of managing multiple tasks in a dynamic setting.
  • Prior teaching, facilitation or event experience is beneficial but not required.


Commitment Level

Ad hoc basis; typically 4–6 hours per event, including occasional evenings and weekends.

Teaching Assistant (Part-Time)​

RAW Moves is looking for a Teaching Assistant to join our A Little RAW team.           

As a Teaching Assistant, your roles will include:

  • Assist the co-director of A Little RAW programme in the facilitation of all in-house and external programmes
  • Prepare the required teaching resources and logistics for the smooth execution of each class
  • Participate in A Little RAW events (performer/backstage)
  • Attend all meetings, classes and rehearsals related to the teaching and planning of the programme
  • Follow and execute the programme’s curriculum diligently

Who we are looking for:

  • Fresh grads (Cert/Diploma/Degree), educators, artists and aspiring facilitators from all fields
  • Singaporeans, PRs, or individuals with valid work/study eligibility are welcome to apply.
  • Passionate about working with children and youth of diverse abilities through inclusive arts and movement practices.
  • Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage sensitively with children, youth, families and team members.
  • Genuinely interested in building sustained relationships with the programme and students.
  • No prior experience required — training and mentorship will be provided.

  • Goodman Arts Centre, 90 Goodman Road, Blk B #01-08, Singapore 439053
  • Classes are conducted on Saturdays from 10am – 5pm
