We often present a chosen tone – confidence, control – to connect. Yet, deeper vibrations exist within: implicit anxieties, unfinished experiences. What other resonances – shared laughter, unspoken understanding, the rhythms of our interactions – define our meaningful connections?
The Echo in the Body
Ricky Sim (Artistic Director)
“Connection starts in the silence—when our bodies fall into rhythm without trying.”
Sometimes, we connect with someone before a single word is said. You lean back, and they do too. You smile and they mirror it. These small, quiet movements often go unnoticed—but they’re powerful. They tell us, I feel safe with you. I’m present.
This isn’t about copying. It’s our bodies picking up on each other, like a quiet form of listening. We often think real connection takes effort, but often, it begins in the simple things—shared posture, a nod, the way we match without meaning to.
What does this teach us? That empathy doesn’t have to be loud. That presence can be felt. And that being seen might be as simple as someone moving through the moment with you.
Imposter Syndrome
Theres (Marketing Intern)
There was a time when every room felt too big, every achievement felt borrowed. A smile stayed on, words came out right, but inside, doubt whispered loud. The mask never slipped, but the weight of holding it up grew heavier…
Nothing made it fade; not praise, not success. Then came a moment of stillness. No more pretending, just sitting with the fear, the questions, the ache of not feeling enough. And in that quiet, something shifted.
Belonging didn’t need to be proven, it had always been there.
A moment to remember
Audrey Desmond (Social Media Manager)
That sense of coming together – for shared learning, easy camaraderie, and unexpected sparks of connection – became a cherished memory. Having experienced life in a foreign country, often feeling adrift in new surroundings, finding this community was a profound comfort. It offered an inviting space to not only belong but also to embrace new, joyful experiences.

Hear that “Click”!
Matthew Goh (Company Dancer)
Have you ever had that surprising moment of inspiration? There’s nothing to substantiate it, but somehow it resonates within, a subtle “click” resounds.
It feels like a connection—a universal one, where the stars align. A truth appears, and internally, something shifts.
“Aha”, “Ding”, “YES”
How does your “click” sound?
Interestingly, my moments mostly happen in the toilet, a resounding trickle or splash echoes.
